This traditional colonial home was designed by Derk Garlick, a home renovation architect. He customized the design around a very active and growing Franklin Lakes family. With 4 kids and growing this home satisfies the needs set forth by the parents for privacy in the master suite, fun family spaces for everyone to enjoy & formal areas for entertaining. The housing architect created a layout of the floor plan which revolved around matching room specific uses with the appropriate solar orientation. The kitchen, breakfast area and second floor master suite align southeast to capture the morning sun and fill the space with daylight during its peak time of use. The interior is decorated with layers of well-proportioned traditional moldings, durable stone floors and custom lead glass interior skylights.
