Short Hills Traditional Renovation, New Jersey

A traditional Short Hills 1960's ranch receives a full make-over by blending traditional elements, warm colors & clean modern lines. Derk Garlick, a professional Hoboken architect removed the dividing wall between the kitchen and living area and reimagined as a translucent glass panel that only partially obscures the kitchen beyond. Along the length the living area is a series of large patio doors that overlook the pool and connect the interior of the residence with the beautiful landscape of the Short Hills suburb. The master bathroom walls are covered in a soft limestone tile and the custom mahogany vanity is uniquely wrapped with a complementary carved stone slab.
